It was a crisp 34 degrees last night. I left my furnace on 50 degrees and it cycled occasionally I brought out the heavy artillery last night and used my emergency sleeping bag as a comforter and slept like a baby.
My Casita smells a bit like Icy Hot oitment today as I spend the day recovering from my hike. it is another magnificent day in Glacier.
I have met another kindred spirit on this trip.
Kaye is from Iowa and has hosted campgrounds there. She travels in a 24' Born Free RV made in Iowa. She shares many adventures she has had including the Greek Islands, Italy, Colorado, Florida and others. She had done a multi state Frank Lloyd Wright tour that including his famous Falling Water house.
She is the matriarch to a large, close Italian family and they all stay in touch daily with her.
We share coffee together and the best apple dumpling I have ever eaten. (It is so good I have to question myself if I would have shared it.)
She spent the day yesterday visiting Waterton Park in Canada seeing many of the places I had seen in the past.
We say goodbyes as she leaves to visit an old friend in the Flathead Lake area. I did send her on the way with some of the precious Flathead cherries I had purchased previously.
I admire Kaye for her attention to her family and also her courage in taking to the road and experiencing new places. We exchange contact information and I will delight in hearing updates from her.
I hear from Horst today and he in in Yellowstone soon leaving to the Tetons. I share a couple of campsites there that I have stayed at in the past.
My time is up, that is all for now. Thanks for visiting my site.
